The Muscle Mindset Connection

In order for me to explain the Muscle Mindset Connection, I’d 1st like to share how I 1st became aware of how powerful our minds are and how we can use our thinking and beliefs to create our reality.

About 10+ years ago, I was living in Vegas, working for a nutrition start-up, traveling and loving life.  Then one day, the start-up went through a change in ownership and we got a new CEO.  I’ll admit, I didn’t like him.  He was young, arrogant and obnoxious and really didn’t know anything about our business.  So I tried to avoid him as much as possible and paid little attention to him UNTIL he decided to all of a sudden cut my travel & event budget.  So without me having any say so, my budget was cut, events cut in 1/2 and travel limited to only local.  I was pissed!  But I had no control over it so I just sat at home sulking (I was privileged to be working at home back then so I could sulk all day without anyone knowing:).

The day after this decision was made, I was called in to the office for a staff meeting that afternoon.  That morning, I was on the phone with my BFF at the time who happened to be a new Law of Attraction Coach.  So she was all IN! She kept me on the phone for an hour telling me how I needed to work on my attitude and change my thoughts.  How I needed to think good, positive things about the CEO and show him gratitude for keeping me on the team.  I’m thinking, is this woman crazy??? This guy came in, cut my budget, travel, events without even consulting with me.  I had no desire to even see him.  But I let her talk until I could figure out a way to get her off the phone, lol.

That afternoon as I’m driving in to the meeting, I figured, what the heck.  Let me give this positive thinking a chance.  So for my 20 minute drive into the City, I allowed nothing but positive thoughts in my head about this CEO and allowed myself to be grateful that he kept me on the team.  When I pulled into the parking lot, I smiled and kept that smile when I walked in the door.

Upon walking in, I remember seeing my friend Jessica who told me that the CEO wanted me to stop by his office.  My heart immediately started palpitating.  I figured he was tired of me avoiding him and paying him no attention and was about to axe me like he had already done to 1/2 the staff.  But nope!  As I’m walking in his office, he’s rushing out with an envelope in his hand.  As he handed me the envelope, he let me know that he wanted me keep my LA events going, he had pre-approved all my expenses and when I opened the envelope, it as a check for the bonus I had asked for (and got denied) the week prior.

I was in shock for the rest of the day.  I asked Jessica and a few other friends who worked there if they knew what was going on, they had no idea.  later that day, I spoke with my BFF to tell her what happened.  She said ‘SEE!!  I told you this’.  From that day on (I think that was sometime in 2008) I have been a total believer in what we think, we create. In every aspect of life, we can and do create our own realities.  Whether we know it or not which is why it’s SO important to keep positive, loving and thankful thoughts on our minds as often as possible. The goal should be always!

So now that I’ve told you all of that, let’s bring it full circle back to fitness!  Throughout this blog, I will share and continue to share stories on how I have used Mindset techniques to accomplish my fitness goals, how my clients have found a love for fitness and accomplished their goals, how I have manifested things that I have desired and dreamed of.  Just remember, you bring about what you think about!  So I advise you to start thinking about what you want, love and desire!  What makes you happy?
